| With new grades for the first time since 2003, Georgia’s
infrastructure has shown very little improvement and once again received a
cumulative grade of C. Maintenance and improvement of Georgia’s infrastructure
is vital to our economy, safety, environment and quality of life. Broadened
awareness and discussion of the issues raised in this report will increase
understanding of the current and future infrastructure needs of Georgia. ASCE
hopes to prompt decision makers in our communities and the state Legislature to
formulate policies that will provide the necessary funding to address Georgia’s
aging infrastructure. |
