February Section Luncheon.
Will Georgia win the "Water Wars?" Dr. Aris Georgakakus from the Georgia Water Resources Institute at Tech. provided some scientific data at February’s luncheon which prompted several vigorous questions. The numbers don’t lie. Dr. Aris presented watershed and basin modeling data across Georgia past, present and forecast to assess if withdrawals are actually sustainable. See "About GA ASCE > Photo Gallery" for more pictures.
